Hello, my dear Aesthetics of Age team,

You know, when I look at these two photoshoots, I don’t see the passage of time - I see the difference in freedom, confidence, and a deep sense of happiness.
The first shoot, five years ago, was beautiful. But that was still the old me - uncertain, careful, living by rules, constantly aware of my age and what others might think.

It was you who showed me just how powerful and beautiful I could be. That age doesn’t have to mean fading - it can be the very peak of a woman’s beauty, courage, and energy.

And I think that very publication, five years ago, became the catalyst that blew my old life apart. I moved to Saint Petersburg, changed my career, and made a promise to myself - to truly enjoy my life.

By the time of the second shoot, I was a different woman.

In the first one, I see a woman who is still dreaming.
In the second - a woman who takes action.

Somewhere between those two moments, my old fears died, and a new version of me was born.

Thank you for capturing my life - before and after.
And, of course, I love the “after” much more.

And I want every woman to know:

life at fifty and beyond is not the end -
it’s only just beginning.

Hi, my name is Elena. I’m a beginner model in the 50+ category.

For many years, I lived a very ordinary life - working in an office, taking care of my family, managing everyday responsibilities.

At the end of 2024, I accidentally came across a post on social media about age modeling in Ksenia Leo’s project Aesthetics of Age. And in that moment, I realized I had a chance to finally fulfill a long-held dream.

In February this year, I had my first photoshoot, and it truly changed my life. I saw myself in a completely new way, through the eyes of others. I began to feel more confident, and my self-esteem grew significantly.

With the support of Ksenia and her team, I continued my journey in modeling, taking part in a special photoshoot and a campaign for a clothing brand.

I don’t yet have professional experience as a model, but I have a strong desire to learn and grow in this field. I’m open to new opportunities and confident that I can bring a fresh perspective and elegance to the modeling industry.

My dream is to show women that age is not a limitation, but a source of wisdom, elegance, and beauty.

For me, age modeling is about self-acceptance, self-love, and the opportunity to express yourself and grow at any stage of life.

What you do is just cosmic. I remember my first photo shoot with you, when there was that trail of images, and I was flipping through the photos - I kept not believing it was me. Of course, now I’m starting to be picky. But what I saw today is already a next level!! The next level of attitude towards myself, of my relationship with myself.

I will definitely keep doing this because it inspires me insanely; I really enjoy it. It’s an aesthetic pleasure, very deep, and it stays with you for a long time.

In December, I took part in the Aesthetics of Age project.

I had been thinking about it for two years, and finally, I said yes.

You know, I experienced pure aesthetic pleasure from everything that was happening on set. Working with professionals is a true joy.

From the makeup artist, stylist, photographer, studio selection, producer, editor, and everyone involved - thank you so much.

I felt only positive emotions, confidence, relaxation, and a desire to create.

For me personally, this project became a step forward in developing my blog, in personal growth, in visibility, and expansion.

And one more important thing I almost forgot - about 800 new people subscribed, and the feedback was incredible. I replied to everyone, and you helped too. Around 350 people wrote, and they are still writing.
It was such an emotional explosion. And the audience that came was truly wonderful - people you genuinely want to connect with.

Why do you need a photo story, even if you're not a model:

Beautiful photos are a resource. When you see yourself in a new look - confident, expressive, stylish - it instantly boosts your self-esteem. It's like reintroducing yourself to yourself.
This is time for yourself. A photoshoot isn’t about cameras. It’s about attention. Attention to yourself, your feelings, your body. You fill up with energy, receive support from the entire team - and feel alive, authentic, inspired.
It’s a path to liberation. Regular work in front of the camera helps to work through tension, fears, internal blocks. Along with them, stiffness disappears - not only during the shoot but also in life. Many women admit: after a photo session, they feel freer, more relaxed, and braver.

We are not psychologists in the literal sense.
Although among us there are transformational coaches and yoga teachers.
But we do know how to gently reveal beauty.

A photo story is not a cure-all.
But it is a real step toward self-acceptance, love for your body, and the feeling of "I can," "I am worthy," "I am beautiful."

We continue to build a creative portfolio for her together with our team.
